Tlangelani Mageza

Tlangelani Mageza started her career at Siemens Business Services in 1999 as a graduate trainee Management Consultant. She then moved from Johannesburg to Durban to become a trainee in Trade Marketing with Unilever in the Household Care Category Management. She then joined IBM Business Consulting Services as an Associate Consultant where she recommenced her Management Consultant career and focused on projects in the Financial Services sector.
In 2003 Tlangelani joined Accenture South Africa where she spanned a nine-year successful Management Consulting career with Accenture, Tlangelani worked with several FMCG / Consumer Goods companies on initiatives such as large-scale implementations and significant strategic business transformation projects. Her experience ranged from project management and strategy, to outsourcing and project integration roles. She has worked with large Consumer Goods clients in South Africa, Turkey and East Africa in various capacities. She has also worked with clients within the retail industry in South Africa.
Following Accenture, Tlangelani joined SABMiller in 2013 initially in the South Africa business (SAB Ltd.) and then promoted to manage the African region. At SABMiller, Tlangelani was the Regional Head: Organisation Development for the broader Africa region. Tlangelani also steered the Performance Management capability for the Africa region.
Recently Tlangelani was the Vice President: Organisation Development and Change Management at AngloGold Ashanti supporting the business in executing its Group strategic initiatives.
Tlangelani has a proven track record in organisational transformation including programme management, operating model and organisation design, change management, organisation effectiveness and change leadership.
Tlangelani holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, with majors in Economics and Human Resources Management.
